Dictionary of Trout Flies
This book was written by A Courtney Williams in 1948 and contains a wealth of information about all the flies listed. It also covers Sea Trout and Grayling flies. If you decide to buy a copy try and get the sixth edition (paperback) 1986 as there is an additional section on modern flies (34 years ago now) written by T Donald Overfield.

This great book, recommended to me by Davy Wotton as he taught me about wet fly fishing, is tremendously useful and informative.
I fish wet flies with faith and hope, faith that trout don't require exactitude and hope that when my time comes, God will explain why wet flies work...
