Some old thread I picked up....

Ok it’s not silk, but a form of cotton.
I kinda like the look, colours and hues of these.
Multi stranded so can make the thread quite fine.
Pretty old, maybe 60 or 70 years, maybe older, I don’t know but I’m interested to see what they are going to be like for bodies and ribs...... perhaps in dubbing loops even...

Nice find! I agree, the colors and hues look very useful for fishing flies.

Nice find, Johnno. I love using all the stuff that I find that various flea market & garage sales. After all, this is what the Masters before us used to do......they made do with what they had readily available at hand.
