Surprisingly, I feel like the purple is the most understated element here: the bright rib and fiery "legs" stand out much more.

I agree; if the subject hadn't mentioned the color, I don't think I would have noticed it. Beautiful and practical at the same time.

Swellcat and Redietz - totally agree, the purple is pretty subtle actually which I like. It would have required more light than I had available to show the purple well... K
