Steve - It is great to see you posting again. Cool fly. Can you give us some background on this pattern and how you fish it?

Great blog, by the way. I really love your flies. Very fishy (compliment).

Thanks Ray. I'm on a posting run. I come & go. Too easy to get hooked on this place. At a fairly technical flies-only pond in my neighborhood, I ran into a couple of locals who were doing the job on a simple, hackle-less, bead-head version, up against the weeds. My take on it -- I threw away the bead & added the hackle. A copper tinsel version works good for me too. Posted the pattern on my blog, along with a bit about how I fish it:

Yes! I like this pattern very much. Excellent addition to my already bulging insecure array of flies for the trip.
