I am trying to branch out, but a lack of vision holds me back.

Re: Wet Fly (of some sort)
Lovely soft hackle fly, Heero. I like the tapered profile of the adbomen and the spiral ribbing. It looks like a nice stillwater pattern, as well. Nice job.

Hi Heero;
Is that a quill body? If so I think you've created a very different and unique soft hackle. By the way it looks good too!
Don't quite understand your comment about branching out, seems like you have to me.

Thanks. I saw the quills done on a similar fly tied by a local guy named Bill.

Great work, Heero. That should be a very productive fly. All the elements seem to be fine and the body is exceptionally nice. Keep up the good work

Heero- the self-deprecation is unnecessary. We all love you for who you are. I like the fly a lot, and I have found Bill's- your inspiration, to be mostly kick-ass.
Re: Wet Fly (of some sort)
I have never really used quills too much, but I love the look of that body! Very well put together. I will have to go out and get some quills.

Heero - Very nice fly! I thought that body design looked a little familiar -- thanks for the credit. Keep up the effort to expand on your considerable talents.
