Opinions Wanted
A couple of quickly tied prototypes for the swap. Testing colour and hackle weight now. I wonder which you prefer (thread colour and hackle weight):
1. Crimson
2. Dark Dun
3. Olive
All are tied with thread touched dubbed with mole, with a copper rib and Coq de Leon (silver badger) hackle.

Re: Opinions Wanted
I'm going to need a half dozen of each, for close inspection, before I can give you an opinion... (just kidding)
great tyes! the crimson one is my favorite, but the others are great as well.

Re: Opinions Wanted
Speaking as one who rarely ties "patterns" but who does tie flies for fish, i like each of them for a different reason/situation; higher in the column, playing on different lighting, whatever. I would never settle on one to the extent of barring the others from my flybox. Whichever you select for the swap will be excellent.

The crimson caught my eye, followed closely by the olive.

Re: Opinions Wanted
I favor the olive colored one. All are very nicely dressed, Aaron. I'd be happy with any of them.

Re: Opinions Wanted
I love all the them. I will vote for the middle one since no one has. I like the copper wire contrast.
Excellent ties!

Me too, I like the more sparse hackle of the dark dun.CM_Stewart wrote:I'd vote for the crimson body, but the hackle on the dark dun.
Nice tie all of them
There will allways be a solution.

Re: Opinions Wanted
They are all very fishable. If I had to choose: Crimson, olive, dark dun. Nicely done!
