Thread - Orange
Tail - Black hackle fibers
Body - Orange thread, wool, antron, floss, uni stretch or dubbing
Thorax - Black seal dubbing or black sybai spectra flash dubbing
Hackle - Black hen hackle
UV resin coated head

Norm,
This is wonderful pattern and one that has not graced my wet fly box for quite some time! Thank you for bringing it to us! I remember tying this pattern like you have shown here except I used Danville's Florescent Orange 6/0 instead of Uni-Stretch (which I like better) and I did not tie in a thorax! I was more stupid back then I guess! Your pattern is magnificent and, if I am not mistaken, harkens back to Skue's time. It was viewed as an oddity but, just like many attractor patterns of today, it was rather effective on trout and they could not say exactly why! I just know from experience that it is a killer in all four seasons on my local sunfishes!

The key to making a body that smooth with UNI-Stretch is stopping every few wraps and counter spinning the bobbin. Masterful attention to detail Norm.
