Thread - Orange
Tail - Three Pheasant tail fibers
Body - Pheasant tail fibers
Rib - Gold or silver wire
Thorax - Hare’s ear dubbing
Hackle - A short-fibered, light brown feather from a hungarian partridge

Interesting that it's called a March Brown. For many years (too many for this old guy to count), I've tied and fished this dressing with either a hares ear or peacock herl for the thorax and simple called it a Pheasant Tail soft hackle. I never knew that it was a March Brown imitation. Live and learn for an OLD guy, eh?

I never thought to use my PT soft hackles as March Browns.
Talk about not being able to see the forest for the trees!
