Thanks ronr for sharing some donated fly tying materials!!
It prompted a new steelhead tie with what I think is Green Pheasant. It is a bird I have never seen before.

Thread and tag-UTC 140 FL FIRE ORANGE
Tail-Green Pheasant Tail feather fibers
Body-Blue Ostrich and LRG Oval Silver French Tinsel tied into a dubbing loop rope Alec Jackson style.
Hackles-Green Pheasant Rump, followed by green and blue phase upper body and neck feathers.
The green and blue reflections on the tips are very transitory depending on the angle of the light hitting the feather. As a hackle they mostly appear dark brown. Hopefully there may be tiny flashes of color as they undulate in the water.

I wish we could get that green color on the fly.. pretty dramatic when the light hits it just right... I'll get around to doing a little bit on the gifted materials I received and get some ideas for flies.

Ron,
The feathers could be tied in as cheeks on streamers and show the color. It may be why he used the skin in the first place.
