Yesterday I watched two guys Czech nymphing and other than the rod and reels they were using it was not much different than Tenkara. One big difference though was that they put no action to their flies. They just plop them out there and watch the indicator's. I think that once some of them pick up or see someone using a Tenkara they will become interested.

The one draw back here is there are a lot of folks getting involved with Comp. fishing but in other areas I think the sport will last a long time.

Tenkara USA had a great response at the Somerset show and as others start manufacturing and attending the shows it can go nowhere but up. Where else can you put a fly rod in a youngsters hand and have him catching fish on flies within fifteen minuets. Or how about teaching a wounded Vet with an arm or hand missing to get on the water and start catching fish without having to screw around with a extra line and a reel.

Or how about a woman who has had the muscle removed from here chest because of cancer. The possibilities are endless.

I always have had a great admiration for Gary Cooper and Bob Mitchum. :lol:
