Ha, I've had Old Hat's "Gamebird" and "Pintail and Mink" bookmarked for so long that they're practically my wallpaper. :) (BTW, some of the guys over on the Spey Forum [urlhttp://speypages.com/speyclave/forumdisplay.php?f=95][/url] really take advantage of that larger canvas as well.)

i do that quite a lot Carl........it's so strange but i'd have to say that 90 some % of anglers have never heard of a flymph, and almsot that many tyers. So i'll do them up a Trout flymph........Steelie flymph........Bass flymph.........Pike flymph........or Saltwater flymph........show 'em how to wiggle the thread thru the hackle, etc., etc. ..............All of a sudden, a light bulb comes on, and then they "Get It." ;)

Roadkill, way to start it off! Lovely fly, very Salmony type coloring, and it is a lovely fly.

Old Hat..........oh my word. Those were absolute killers. The Gamebird, GOOD LUCK CHUCK, and the Moisic or is it Mosaic? THOSE 3 were absolute knock 'em outta the park, they ain't coming back baby........type flies. I loved all presented...but those were my favorites at first glance. The flies, the photos, the photography itself...STUNNING. I am not lucky enough to go Salmon fishing yet. But if I were able to go, I'd sure wanna take those along with me. Your flies, and Roadkill's fly were very very fishy. The Good Luck Chuck though, gets the blue ribbon from me. You raised the bar so high, I'm hesitant to even enter anything in this fabulous thread.

A fantastic collection OldHat, I really like tying softhackle Sea-Trout flies.
Your Steel-head flies are superb, I got a variety of Hen Saddles in various colours
that I hope to use. You have given me a lot of inspiration, marvellous flies.
I have been finding dressing smaller trout spiders and flymphs a bit difficult,
but as I like the Sea-trout/Steel-head flies there is always something I can tie.
Your flies are a great pleasure to view.

I just had an other look and I think I shall have to mine Bergman's Trout for ideas.

See there.......i knew this thread would be a good idea. :D .....Thankx for the contribution already Donald.....don't forget to post pics here. 8-)

Oh Kelly, btw....."Mosaic".....one of the BEST record dates of all time..........Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers.....mid 60's. Tune was written by Cedar Walton, the Messenger's pianist at the time and became the title tune for the date. Don't fall asleep.....find it. 8-)
"Think" of the fly your gonna do that way.....and just start puttin' the pieces together...............you dig? ;)
