DUBBN,
Great flies, I love the new HS Brown Partridge variation.

Bill, these were tied on a size 12 Mustad 3906B. I am going to drop them down a size to a size 14 3906 type hook. Probably a WFC Wet Fly hook. Ugh, I am going to have to wait 4 months to swing and fish them up stream.

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

Re: Polish Palmer & Partridge
This is my attempt at the Polish Palmer and Partridge. I was asked to do a tying demo at the start of our fly fishing club meeting (Penobscot Fly Fishers) last Wednesday. It's an hour long tying session for anyone who shows up. I was so enamored with this fly that I tied three or four on Tuesday to get some practice in and demoed it on Wednesday evening. The fly was a hit! I had a rotating large crowd and went over my allotted time period because there were so many people that wanted to see the fly. Thanks for sharing this one. I love it. Excuse the dried wax on the head.

Ron, more than an attempt, you nailed it as I know you can easily do.
Glad to see you made it a hit on the East Coast!!

Awesome fly Ron. Did you use hen or rooster for the palmer?
You always do great work.

Thanks, guys. When a fly looks that good, tying it is pretty easy. Wayne, I used hen dyed brown. I really didn't want the stiffness of rooster, I just wanted something that would keep the partridge from collapsing as it dances in the current.

Thank you for the quick response, Ron. I used hen aswell.
I have a Metz hen cape. Grizzly dyed Brown that I am thinking of throwing in the mix.
Seriously, I will strive to make it look as good as yours and Bill's.

That reminds me of an old pattern called Queen of the Waters.
