It looks a lot like the dubbing I made after chopping / blending the Shetland Spindrift #290 Oyster yarn.

That’s what I thought too. The flies tied with it, shown on FB, especially look like #290. The real stuff is 85% pale wool and 15% brownish pink nylon. I thought about blending it myself and having it milled into yarn but decided it wasn’t worth it. To my eye the Berocco yarn is close enough.

Bob, You could send me a sample if you want. I have enough Berocco yarn to last for the rest of my days and beyond.

Still on Hoagland? Igave away all my Berocco, and other subs. Kept the Oyster 290.
