Re: Brahma and Red
Wayne - Are you targeting a specific insect with this pattern, or would you consider this an attractor/searching pattern? I'd love to hear the thinking behind this pattern, and how you fish this.
Really nice pattern, by the way.
I'm glad you were out fishing today. You da man!

Re: Brahma and Red
Looks like a good hatching bloodworm pattern to me.
Re: Brahma and Red
I'm just a sucker for beads on soft hackles. The size 22 is impressive and the hackles are really nice.
Re: Brahma and Red
It mimics large midge emergers in my local rivers. Winter for me, is a time of small baetis nymphs and midge larva/emergers.
Most of the time the midge patterns I use are smaller and I use mole as a collar rather than hackle. The hen hackle was for fun but still produced some trout.

DUBBN
I just loved the hook you used so I had to tie up a couple of Dips during the Rose Bowl.
Here are a couple of #20's to test out this year.

I will tie up some SH's of both later.
Thanks for the inspiration!!
