With the very old Hardy hooks that I have there is no way pinching the barbs down works, a broken hook every time. I’m not the only one who uses a Dremel to remove the barbs. It’s a fine tool in both senses
It must be that "manly guide strength hand & arm muscle" you have, Barry, from rowing/casting all those years!!!
btw - i use a Dremel to grind down the barbs as well - works quite well I might add.
Soft and wet - the only way....
