You can't go wrong. A very well written book.

It is a very good book I think. Here are the content and one colorplate of flies:

Wayne,
I have and think it is very good. Lots of good info and background stuff. Some decent fly patterns and techniques are shown. Well worth the money.

Just had a look for this on amazon, and there is a 'search inside' feature here, with a decent sized extract:

Looks very good - beautifully written too. Might have to put my hand in my pocket for that one! :D

I have this book and highly recommend it to others. I especially liked his methods of using hen hackle fibers to form wings on traditional winged-wet patterns. He is a great author and his writing style is easy to understand (i.e. - he's a good teacher).

I have it, and have to agree with everyone so far. Clearly written in the "Hughs" style, the instructions and tips are
very well done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's earned it's place on the "wet fly" shelf of my library.
