Here is my tie of the Rainbow Warrior nymph created by Lance Egan.

I came across this fly after reading about Lance in a recent copy of Northwest Fly Fishing and going to his website. I find it similar to the Lightning Bug which has worked well for me on many waters.

Very fishy! (sincere compliment)

I like the way you trimmed the wing case. I’m gonna steal that idea. Thanks Bill. ;) :D

Ugliest fly I've ever seen. What the hell is that thing up by the hook eye. Bill....Bill....I'm getting worried.

Carl,

I can't resist the Darkside.

The author of the article about Egan watched him pull over 60 fish out of his assigned beat on the Crooked in 3 hours when he was qualifying for the US Flyfishing Team.

That weakened my will and I have to try some of his creations. I will fish off both variations of the Rainbow Warrior and Lightning Bug on the Crooked this year.

Have fun catching all those whitefish! ;)

Actually, I'd take some clean freshwater whitefish just about now.
