what hook did you use for the TUE flies? It looks like a scaled down salmon fly hook. And.... you should send me those flies as you'll never get to use them in Florida.

Carl... I've just purchased and read Overfield's book... I wish there were more pictures of actual flies to go with the myriad recipes in the book. Having your flies as references for those you've chosen to tie are great help to me. Thanks to the forum... if I look hard enough, I can find substitutes for many of the feathers in the old recipes, and many of the flies tied by the other members to use as guides.

Thanks Ron. Just remember though, these are still just my interpretation of the patterns based on my best guess. Maybe Lance's book will shed some light on some of these.
