I've been a fan of Cutcliffe ever since I read about his flies in Fogg's book on North Country flies. Cutcliffe's flies are tied with stiff hackles for fast water. Some of his hackle colors aren't available anymore and were probably always rare. One solution might be to use two hackle feathers as with the Adams dry fly. Skues called Cutcliffe's tying instructions the best.
