Re: Welsummer Flymph
Superb. Classic lines, and harmonious color scheme. Very natural imitative pattern.
A capital killer, no doubt.
Nice job Mr. Shuck.

Love it! Beautiful hackle.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Very nice tie. I like the "earthy" colors. I'd put a few of those in my on-stream box.

Same here, looks like a March Brown variation....one of my favorite flies to tie and fish.Roadkill wrote:Looks like a killer March Brown to me!!!
Re: Welsummer Flymph
Nothing wrong with that fly a fish or two won't fix. You're finding colors in that welsumer sample that have eluded me... I need to quit picking just the speckled brahma out of the center...
Like that old-timey hook.

Geeze Bill,
Both of these patterns look fantastic! I also checked out the link to Welsumer hens and that was really awesome too! Both of my daughters are smitten recently with raising chickens. They are looking at eggs.....I am looking at plumage! I have made both of them promise that if any of them die, the feathers are mine!
If you are gonna make me pick one.....I like the flymph better. Although the spider is growing on me now that I have gone back and checked it out again. Gosh, you make this a hard but, delightful process Bill!
Lovin' every minute of it!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
