Waterhen Bloa

Post by tie2fish » Sun Dec 10, 2017 3:29 am

Decided to ditch the original stuff for a while and re-do some of the classics ...

Hook: Standard wet fly (Daiichi 1550), Size #14
Thread: Pearsall's Gossamer #3 primrose well waxed
Hackle: Waterhen (Moorhen) upper covert
Tag: Thread wraps
Body: Regular mole very sparsely touch dubbed on tying thread

Very nice work Bill, that wispy dubbing makes that pattern look all the more enticing. ;)

Bill,
As always, your patterns are killer and they look so alive! The body work you do is exceptional....no, the entire package is exceptional! You have got to show us more of the "classics" you have been working on! How about one a day? We want to keep you busy!
