Tipically shuckish. What does it feel like, utilizing classical materials?

It's great fun, Stefan. All thanks go to Theroe for the Darbee.

Superb Bill.
I really like the proportions of the fly too.
Could have done with this yesterday!
What fish could turn that down?

How hard can it be?

If you get right down to it, I suppose I should be thanking the actual chickens. Unfortunately, both they and Mr. Darbee have departed this mortal vale, so Dana will have to suffice.daringduffer wrote:Some thanks ought to go to Darbee, not?tie2fish wrote:It's great fun, Stefan. Bill,
Sorry about this.....I don't know how I missed this one! It's a beauty Bill! It has got to be a honor to tie with Darbee hackles just like when Lance sent me the brown mohair samples that belonged to his dad Pete! I was very nervous about getting it right but, I had such good guidance from both of you, then the honor part showed through! I am still humbled and I can see that you have done the Darbee hackle justice with your excellent work on this pattern and so many others! Your flies look so "alive"!
Excellent, Excellent work Bill!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
Re: Darbee Tups
What a great looking fly! The Tups is one of my favorite flies but I never tied one like that. Sounds a like a good winter project and thanks for posting.
