Don't get hung up on the exact materials; use whatever you want.
My kind of tying, man. You're empowering rather than constraining.

That's also as feisty-looking fly. I'd throw it at anything within a 200-mile radius of me. I'd say this is certainly a soft hackle for warmwater folks.
