William tyes a bug much like this one. Darned thing looked exactly like one we found on the stream. Great rock worm imitation.

Because I noticed out of the corner of my eye the vinyl rib in chartreuse, then this had to happen and I used a dark green superfine dubbing for the thorax

Sweet! I have some D-rib stashed away someplace. Now I need to find it, and add some of these to my fly box.

This is really nice. I've tied some softies with these bodies and they are very effective. I'd be curios to see this with copper tinsel, or silver or gold tinsel under the d-rib. The look is subtle as is, it's just a curious wonder. This will work great.

That second photo just really shows how dynamic that body can be. A wildly active hackle with all the complexity of that body in the water should be very effective. It's been awhile since I've tied these, although I still have some that I carry. This does make one want to get to the vise and make these a part of my next outing. I've tied them with a rootbeer colored body and with an orangish brown body as well with nice results.

I do have the rib in root beer as well and will have to try that out
