Not sure how effective they are, but these are a lot of fun to tie. Here's the vid if you'd like to see how Jay does it:

hook - Mustad 3906B #8
thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - fine oval tinsel gold
body - yarn hot orange
wing - pheasant tail fibers
overwing - Krystal Flash hot orange
over/overwing - egg yarn cerise (pattern calls for hot pink yarn, of which I have none)
hackle - hen grizzly

Replaced the pheasant tail wing with pheasant rump; a bit easier to work with.
