The original calls for saddle with Chicabou feathers. All I have is capes, so I tyed the tail with Grizzly Marabou in Sand color.

Wayne - Thank you very much for the step-by-step photos. Your tying sequence is simply brilliant! What a great way to form the hackle-body. Very efficient tying, and I'd fish that fly in a heart beat.

Thanks Ray. My tying sequence is quite a bit different than in the video. I doubt it makes much difference, but I like to think my method makes the pattern a bit more durable than the YouTube video. The technique I use, the tying thread is advanced through the hackles as it goes forward. I use the same method when I tye in anh soft hackle as a collar. In the end it doesnt amount to much, just my preference.
