Swinging soft hackles
Well, it has been a while but I am going to swing some soft hackle flies today on the South Holston with my switch rod. I will add to this post later tonight. I am going to start of with a purple and partridge and go from there.

Good luck Otto! Make a few drifts for me. I am stuck in meetings all day.

That does look good. I hope you have some fish that are active. Nice stretch.

Overall, I had a great time and caught about a dozen fish. Most of them were browns, which was nice and the purple and partridge tied on # 19 was the ticket. I plan on going again tomorrow.

Gorgeous fish! Late Summer and early Fall is my favorite time to swing soft hackles. I envy you.

I keep checking the forum posts, in hopes of hearing how you made out today. I hope you're having a great day Otto.
You mentioned a switch rod earlier. Have you been using a switch rod for long? How do you like it? What size rod are you fishing?
