Thanks guys for all your kind words and encouragement. I'll fish these tomorrow morning and report back. River levels are perfect here after the biblical rain we've just had!!
Cheers
Dave.

A favourite fly of mine, both to fish and to dress.
A few years back I made up an article on the March Brown on my web site.
It got out of hand and I never finished it, the eyes let me down.
There is still some usefull info.

I hope this of some interest.

A Herculean undertaking, Donald. What you have finished is excellent, with several documented variations to suit local tastes. Thank you for sharing.

Ditto.... I find you we'd site facinating. Thanks. March brown fished well this morning, 6 trout in and around 1/2 lb mark, which is par for my local stream. I think the sneck hook grabs very well. No escapee's this morning. River too coloured ( spelt correctly!) for the dark bloa, maybe in a day or so if the rain stays away!!
