Hendrickson Flymph

Image

Hook: Daiichi 1550-14
Silk: Langley Ash
Tail: Med. Dun Collins saddle
Body: Nature's Spirit yarn "Hendrickson" color... not sure if this is made anymore.
Collar: Whiting Drk. Dun saddle

Looking at this I probably should have incorporated a gold rib.

That is very nicely constructed, Eric. A rib might help give a segmented look, but there have been an awful lot of fish caught on Hendrickson patterns that did not have one. I would fish yours any day.

That flymph is proper!

Looks awesome Eric. All the proportions are there. It really has that lively "perky" fish want me appeal.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Eric, a very nice looking flymph. Did your NY fishing trip give you inspiration for this?

No, William and I were fishing Yellow Breeches here in Pennsylvania last weekend and these guys were everywhere. Usually they're a size 14 but this year they we're a robust 12! Pretty big Hendrickson.

I'll be giving these a swing tomorrow, hopefully with good results. :)
