Inspired by Roy Palm. My buddy described the pattern to me over the phone. I changed the materials to suit what I had on hand.
I used a size 20, 3906 hook. My buddy uses a Dai-Riki size 20 hook.

Something that has helped me is after the biot is tyed in, apply Krazy Glue or Sally's hard as nail to the thread base. then wrap the biot. Made my flies a lot more durable yesterday.
