Nice! :D

You're very welcome Wayne. I am happy to see it used to create such wonderful flies. I admire your work, and know these flies will serve you well.

Eminently fishable flies tied with some great hackle.

Wondermous! I really like that look. Any chance of a pic of one of the hackle feathers? I still have trouble associating the wound feather with the pre-wound feather sometimes.

Thanks all,

DUBBN, Howdy;

I've been negligent in responding to your postings, feel bad about that.
You do truly tie some of the best lookin flies around. They are their own
bits and chunks of art unto themselves. Then you follow them up with the
critters they catch, always (mostly), with your trusty ND cap in the background.
Just so we know it's yours. ;) .

Nicely photographed Wayne.

What size wire are you using for the ribbing on these flies? Is that natural copper color?

Ray, the tailless version have Red UTC (BR) wire.
The Tailed variety has a copper from some industrial wiring I found at work. It caught my eye as it had a hue that I have never seen before. It is a tad larger than UTC BR wire. I am told the "BR" on UTC wire stands for Brassie. I picked up a half pound of the stuff. If you want some let me know.

Perfect, Wayne. Thank you.
I still sometimes have trouble relating where I see the barring on the barbs with what it looks like "on the stem", as it were. This is especially true for hackles I haven't used myself. I now know that I have to add a couple of colors of Brahma hen to my collection. :lol: (Remember me talking about getting the stuff after Christmas that I REALLY wanted? Yeah, like this, lol.)

Merry Christmas, y'all!
