I've been working on my flymphs lately with tips from Bill Shuck.
This is my latest.

Thread: Pearsall's Gossamer Red
Hackle: Partridge
Tail: Partridge
Body: Spirit River UV2 nymph/caddis dubbing olive spun on a Clark block

Paul, take this as a compliment, you can see a little of the Bill Shuck influence in this offering.
Well done.
Love the contrasts through the materials and the obvious thread within the body twist. Nice work.

It has that 'getter' look to it. Tasty way to work in a color spot.

Paul ~ As I've told you privately, I really like this. While the dubbing material may not be "traditional", it certainly works. And based on what Lance has said about his father's penchant for trying new things, I expect that Pete would approve. Now, I wonder how a rib of flat gold tinsel would look on this ...

Bill, thank you and that is a great idea. I will rib this with some gold tinsel on the next one and see how it looks. :)
