Re: Greensleeves & Green
Most of the broken photo links I see are/were to third-party hosts from which the photo has been moved or deleted.
The three-year, domestic-photo term limit is kind of bizarre, though; it reminds me of the TV show, Logan's Run, on which people were vaporized upon turning age 30. Seems both arbitrary and destructive.
Anyway, thanks for your efforts toward thread coherence by keeping the elements together. Hans was on both a pintail kick and a green thing, it seems.

swellcat - Man, that takes me back a ways. I remember watching Logan's Run years ago.
I think the photo (attachment) time limit is part of the forum software. I've poked around in the administration settings, but could not find a setting to change the time frame.

I am confused - why would a link to my server space be subject to a time limit?
What am I missing?

Howdy All;
I'm thinking that Han's missing photos are related to this past Spring when his site
crashed. The same has happened to Mark's (softhackle), pix.

I understand that part - and Ray has done a retroactive correction pointing to the new server. My question is where the three year timeout ties into the referencing an external, in my case mine, server.

Hans - A photo that is linked to your server space would have no time limit on this forum. The link simply points to the photo, where ever it is hosted. Linked images will display properly indefinitely, as long as the link is still valid. If a server address changes, then the link no longer works properly. Only files, directly uploaded to the Flymph Forum, and stored on the same server as the Flymph Forum, are subject to a time frame/expiration date. Since you always post images via a link, your stuff should be fine indefinitely.

Ray
