A few US inspired flies

Post by Stendalen » Sat Aug 02, 2014 1:04 pm

Hi friends

Been a while since I posted. Photos of our recent Flymph Forum US trip will come shortly. But first we will go to Abisko in Northern Sweden to fish, again.
Inspired by the flies I got at Blue Ribbon Flies, West Yellowstone, MT. They tie some really nice soft hackles! Especially the Blew on Blue gave us some good catches. Here I have tied it as a sea run brown variant with Coq de Leon hackle.

And Bill S, thanks for the thin gold wire used in these flies!

Cheers
Martin

So nice to see your handiwork being posted again, Martin. Those are really beautiful soft hackled flies and your photography of them is stunning.

Your skills with the camera Martin, match your tying skills. Very nicely done.
How hard can it be?

Martin,

Welcome back ole friend! Golly, these flies are beautiful. I never did get a chance to pick your brains about photography during the Flymph Gathering. Shame on me. You could teach me a great deal about photograph...

I can't wait to see you pictures from the trip. I hear Dima fell into the water at some point during one of your trip. Hopefully you got pictures. :D

Have fun on your next trip. Catch a few for us as well.
