Hook: TMC 3761, #16
Thread: Uni-thread, light Cahill, 8/0
Hackle: Partridge
Tail: Mallard flank dyed lemon
Abdomen: Gold mylar
Thorax: Ostrich herl, dyed yellow

This fly was originated by Blue Ribbon Fly Shop, of West Yellowstone, MT, and is an excellent and proven pattern used to imitate emerging Pale Morning Duns. Click on the link below to watch Craig Mathews, owner of BRF shop, tie and talk about tying and fishing this fly.

That is a pretty little pattern. Part attractor, part imitation. Nice photo too.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Tom, I have seen this pattern before and I haven't tied many tinsel bodies, but I heard from some credible sources that this one is effective for it's designed purpose. Can't hurt to give it a try. I'll say you've tied a cleaner version than Nick's, which is to be expected from your vise.

I'll have to add a few of these to the box as well. Maybe with a yellow seal and hare's cheek blend for the thorax. Thanks for sharing this one. Another very nice pattern.
