You do good work Tim.

For those of you wishing to see the beautiful detail of this and other Bear007 flies, click on the posted image and then drag the lower right corner of the window that appears at 45 degrees. These flies are spectacular up close.

Re: Lacey Gee's GIMP
Tim, this is an interesting concept. The aftershaft as a wing/body element will certainly create some visual impact and plenty of mobility. Lots to like about this pattern. I'll be curious to hear how it produces.
What are canvasback scraps? The hackle looks great.

Re: Lacey Gee's GIMP
The original pattern called for the gray hen, I had some leftover Canvesback duck flank cuttings that were skattered on my tying bench, instead of throwing them out I used them instead, I know I wasn't very clear. Gartside used Ringneck aftershaft feathers all the time, the Amherst aftershafts are much smaller, perfect for this size pattern. I know my local Brookies are going to tear this up.What are canvasback scraps? The hackle looks great.

I think this is a great pattern. I have seen it before, but not often. I hear it is a great fly for the box. You did a wonderful job on it!

Re: Lacey Gee's GIMP
Marvelous design! Makes me think of a diving caddis imitation. The construction is very similar to a "Hen wing" style fly.
