Hey! I still want to know what the big sea kitten said to the little sea kitten!

Re: Quality Starling
I think if threre is any difference between UK Starling and our Starling it's grading. Starling seems to be more important over there and more of a afterthought here so most US suppliers don't take the time to grade them. If they look good they're good enough.

I get all mine ala BB gun. Adult cock winter plumage. Top quality of course.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Jim you may very well have that right, regarding the grading. The skin I have I've had for quite some time and if it wouldn't have been for the great conversations on this site it likely still wouldn't be getting used. They're a delicate little feather and take some practice but once realized, not a difficult feather to work with.

I know that I have seen some very good skins but most are not so hot. Most of these come from a major distributor here in the States. Of course the main Gene line is in GB. As they are usurpers here.
