chase creek, Howdy;

Beautiful wee Bug you've posted !!!
You really are getting a lot of usage from those hooks.
They do have a nice profile, don't they?

What a nice combination of colors, Rodger! To my eye, that snipe tail hackle resembles plover in color and marking.

Thanks, Hank. I figure if you've got 'em, use 'em. :)
I put a comment below the picture, but it didn't make it thru the ether, I guess. - I wish Pearsall's would put the color number on the spools. Not sure which variety of gold that thread is.

Lovely fly Chase Creek. I have the same gripe about notating the color on spools of thread, floss, and silk. That irks me to no end, when I am not sure which color is what. I wish all the thread and silk companies would read this message. I was just talking about this last night, with my local tying buddy.

Dainty tie with a BITE to it!

I agree with Bill, in the photo the hackle could pass for golden plover.

Nice fly!
Snipe Rump is the called for hackle in Edmond's and Lee's #8b March brown. It's a pretty feather with beautiful markings and much mobility. I have to concur that on your fly it could have been easily mistaken for Plover.

Very nice.
Almost a regal elegance in such simple flies tied well.
Really liking the hackle colour.
