That's a very attractive pattern.
Can you explain how it's tied, especially how you handled the CDC,
How hard can it be?

Thank you, I just wrap a couple of turns of CDC, then the Coot in front of that,it's a real simple fly to tie.

Is the CDC tied in tip first, by the butt or put in a split thread?
How hard can it be?

Sorry, the CDC is tied in by the tip and wound toward the eye, same with the Coot.

Very nice fly.
Coot, similar properties, if slight colour variation to Pukeko...... I see a "variation" pattern in the future!

I think we could both try this lovely pattern Jeff, with your pukeko neck feathers

How hard can it be?

A brookie-slayer, no doubt, if your northern varients have the same tastes as their cousins down here in Southern Appalachia.

A very attractive pattern; the wispy double hackle gives it "helpless mayfly" kind of look.
Some of the same morons who throw their trash around in National parks also vote. That alone would explain the state of American politics. ~ John Gierach, "Still Life with Brook Trout"

Handsome fly Tim. I think the CDC will give the fly a enticing halo of air bubbles, when it is in the water.
