Here is a preview of the fly I am tying for the Mark L. Swap . It is the Little Olive Dun as presented by Mark in his 2006 article for Global Fly Fisher titled "The Road to Wingless Wets"

Darin, this is a beautiful and faithful version of the fly. No doubt it has all the attributes you could want and should be very effective. That article is one of my favorites. Thanks for posting this.
I have sent cards of the original DMC 722 embroidery thread to lots of people and I finally made it back to stock up on what they had. Great tying and I love that hackle. Nice and delicate.

Yeah, I love that hackle too. It is from a Whiting American Hen Cape. Probably the nicest hen feathers I have found.

I don't know the original you mention but like the others said, it's a beautiful fly.
