Tail: Pheasant fibers black
Body: Potato sack fiber (plastic mesh bags)
Rib: Corded tater sac fiber
Abdomen: Peacock Herl
Hackle: Pheasant ( I think)
Thread: Flymaster 6/0 Black (no wax)
Head: Thread coated with Gorilla Super Glue
Hook: Mustad #10 ( no idea on ref #)
Same fly with hackle swept back

Good idea.... Gotta find some more colors of mesh bags and feathers....good excuse to make a purchase...thin the wife will accept that reason?

Nice work Murray.
When you start looking there will be lots of household "tying" materials laying around the house just like your tater sack. Girls are usually a better source than boys- hair ties- sparkly shoe laces- ribbons and if you are brave, doll's hair. Just because it didn't come from the fly store don't mean you can't tie flies from it!
