Thank you for the further information Ruard.
The only time I have fished for Rudd, in Northern Ireland, in a stocked pond. They seemed very much to have a holding/feeding level of depth and if you were not bang on it- you didn't catch.
Very interesting and diverse compared to fishing for trout in moving water here and requires a whole other level of math to have a fun day.
"Listen to the sound of the river and you will get a trout".... Irish proverb.

Ruard, this is really wonderful to see. Thanks so much for sharing your particular angle. =).
It's a very different approach from my own and it's great to get a glimpse at your outings. Of course a sharp bend in your hand crafted cane rod has a universal appeal. Beautiful shots.

Great photos and essay Ruard. It is always fun to see where you fish, and then read how you fish. Very well done sir!

Ruard,
It is a good thing to "catch a glimpse" into your fish and method of fishing for them. You live in a wonderful place...I think you know that already! I cannot wait to meet you this summer! I have much to learn and enjoy!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
