BunTurPheas= Bunny under fur from my niece's bunny (he gets brushed nightly), Turkey slips for an abdomen, and the longest Pheasant hackle I had in my box. All tied up on an old Mustad #8 with black flymaster 6/0. The bunny fur was done in an on hook dubbing brush...

Very cool--I'm actually setting up to try my hand at "burning" some GP and ruffed grouse tailfeathers to use as collar and/or spey hackle. Hopefully I can lose enough of the barbicels to make it behave, but still keep the nifty variegation. With a weak enough bleach solution, even dyed material like, say, mallard, might open up some possibilities as well...especially if you use Hans' method of tying in the hackle with the barbs pointed out over the eye.

That's exactly how I have been tying mine lately, thanks to Hans' great videos. Here's a youtube video of how to make spey type feathers out of cheaper ordinary feathers...I'll be trying it myself soon...

Nice generalist pattern. I often go with longer hackle on Stillwater patterns.
