I am trying to adapt this technique to the Green Drake hatch. Normally I do not worry about the drakes as they usually emerge at the height of runoff on the Freestone rivers. They make their appearance on the tailwaters to a well seasoned combat fishing army.
With the low flows (drought), I would imagine I will have a better shot at fishing for them. The filoplume abdomen has really caught my eye for imitating the drake emergers.

Thanks for the comments guys. Tie 'em up and go test it out. I hope it produces for ya.

T2F: Poe Paddy is where we like to hang out usually, this year we might venture around and see what kind of trouble we can get into! :lol: It's such a hard stream to fish properly, we've been to Poe Paddy so many times that we feel comfortable there so naturally fishing new stretches of water on Penn's is going to be somewhat challenging, but that's ok, I enjoy every second.

Hank: That stinks man :( . I won't tie anymore wedding dresses. ;)

Oh man, that is FANTASTIC!!! Great fly, and I haven't a single doubt about its effectiveness.

Smuggler, Howdy;

Please don't allow my proclivities prevent you from tying flys.
Even if they do resemble a Wedding (pa-tooy), Dress.
