Hook: Gaelic Supreme #15 Syl Nemes Soft Hackle hook
Hackle: Partridge dyed dun
Rib: small pearl tinsel
Abdomen: Davy's bug dub orange
Thorax: Davy's bug dub black

This is a variation of a Sylvester Nemes pattern that uses a silver rib and red instead of the orange.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Very hot, Carl! That'll burn some trout lips.

Thanks gentlemen.

I forgot to mention that I dub this body by pinch dubbing the dubbing on initially, overlapping the orange with the black. Then I slide the dubbing up the thread to the hook, form a dubbing loop, twist a little then wrap. I like this technique as it gives a blended transistion to the body.

Neat colour combination and shape of form, fantastic tie.

Carl,

I would be curious to fish this along with one tied with the dubbing reversed-the Orange emerging from the Black to see if any difference in fish response is noted.

Yes it would. My guess is no difference though. ???

Carl - When you mentioned the cinder fly I had to do some searching to find your pattern. What a great fly!
