Have you posted a pic of those flys? I am trying to convince myself that I dont need tinted Peacock. I usually lose those arguments.

unfortunately I haven't posted any picture. My Wife bought me a Sony DSC-W530 for Christmas. I don't know if this camera is suitable for this. At some point I have to force myself out of the last century & learn how to use it
As far as tinted Peacock herl goes Its a nice touch to add for peacock flies,like the Hardy's favorite. brown speckled Partridge back feather for tail,red tinted herl & fine red wire or floss for rib. I use a rolled hackle tip (Glanros style) of same feather as tail & same for Beard. There's all kinds tinted herl colors out there & Cheap too! Get some and have a ball with it.

A P.S I use red 8/o unithread. The original pattern has a pheasent tippet tail. Not sure what the wing feather was,only seen 1 or 2 pic's of one a long time ago.
