This one looks like it got caught in the wringer (and lost)

Looks pretty good for a variety of things but I never did much good at all with sunk CDC flies. Your mileage may vary. The combination of starling hackle with the CDC may make a big difference. I would be most interested in hearing how you do with this.

Really nice, CC''s CDC & Possum, we need a CC's CDC and Coyote..... just to C how many C's we can get in a tilte!

Seriously though I collect both my own CDC (usually from Mallard ducks) and possum (from fruit tree marauders in our backyard) but have never thought of combining the two in a soft hackle. That CDC collar should trap a few bubbles of air and help float the fly in the top of the water coloum.

Nice caddis pattern I would think. The effect is beautiful and you lit it just right.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
