CDC & Orange

Post by chase creek » Wed Feb 29, 2012 8:21 pm

Hook - WR-069 Size 12
Thread - Black
Body / Thorax - Dark Hare's Mask
Hackle - Hen (Crawfish Orange) and CDC

Saw Charlie Craven's bit in Fly Tyer about using CDC on sub-surface flies and went looking for my CDC. Might provide some interesting movement below the surface.

Wow, the Orange came out in that layout and pattern ! I am very impressed with that hen hackle you are using! Let me know how the CDC works for you this year? As always great pattern and picture sir!

Superb! That puppy is a hunter for sure. I ordered some of this hackle for Jim earlier this week. I will be tying a few of these as soon as I get the hackle.

I think that might be a real fish catcher.

Rodger, both of these CdC patterns look great to me, but this is the one for me. I'm just enjoying the combinations with the dyed hen hackles. Great series.
