Touched

Post by fflutterffly » Tue Feb 28, 2012 7:53 am

It is now 4:45 AM. I sat at my computer this morning at 3:30 am, opened my mail and saw a message from flymph.com. I had written a open reply to the post by Izaak What is the last fly fishng/tying book you read? I posted my list and in passing I mentioned that I was looking to purchase TThe Art of Tying The Wet Fly & Fishing the Flymph" Leisenring - Hidy. You can image my surprise when I opened the mail and found an unselfish act of kindness had been made. One of our members graciously was sending me a copy of this book. I am humbled and brought to tears by this simple and eloquent gesture. For me this generous heart exemplifies the power of this website to touch, expand and generate all things right about humanity. A selfless act I embrace with great joy.

Yes the post by Izaak is great, but it is another who sent me the book and I'm not sure if he wanted his name mentioned. I guess I should of asked him... Do you want to be known?

It's what this place is all about. Whoever did this--Thanks for keeping the spirit of this site alive!

Hi Areil;

This is definetly a generous and caring group, not suprised at all.

That said "the book" is a must read for just about everyone here, you will enjoy it! If your persistant, you can pick one up on ebay for a good price, I finally obtained one last year for about $25.00. You just have to pick the right time to bid, I was able to get mine for such a reasonable price due to the fact about four copies were for sale at the same time.

I am going to have to try harder to find a copy over here, saw one once for sale here..... didn't know at that stage either what it was nor how uncommon it might be here.
As with most things there will be another show one day.

Areil, well done with the copy that is headed your way..... really well done to whom ever made the offer. It just reinforces the wonderful level playing field we have in here, don't much matter who or what you are..... everybody is friendly, some to a fault.
