You know what you could do. You could buy her a wonderful spa day for her birthday and while she's out you could do the dyeing and get it all cleaned up and supper made before she gets home. I'm sure she'd be good then! ;)

A325....stainless. Correct? My metal working and gun making friend Neal Marty is a stainless addict! I wish I could show you the tremendous job he does in marrying stainless and maple for example in some really top notch muzzleloaders. Cool picture and really cool fly! Please keep this stainless theme in future pictures that you do. I really like it! I know Neal will too! I will show him this soon!

Dougsden, the A325 refers to the ASTM grade of bolt (high-strength, in this case) in the picture. That one's 3/4" diameter, used for bolting structural steel construction like steel columns, trusses, etc. I have one on my desk to keep loose feathers and stuff from being blown away when I sneeze. It's not stainless, although stainless steel bolts are used in some cases, usually in food industry structures, or for "pretty".
I'd love to see stainless steel inlay work on a rifle, bet it looks beautiful with the right wood.
